Rebooting Can Preserve Your Computer

February 3rd, 2010 . by admin

I received an alert from a program on my computer that there was a significant error, and I needed to take care of it promptly. I considered what it advised me to do, and then I called one of my friends to verify that it was accurate advice. He told me that rebooting computer and starting in safe mode was the best thing to do, and that the prompts were correct. He told me to start it up in safe mode to protect my data and drivers. I followed the directions, and I was relieved when it started working again. I am so glad that my computer was fixed!

Helping My Son Out

February 1st, 2010 . by admin

When I got home from the office the other night, my son was waiting at the door, and he told me that he needed a favor from me.  I asked him what it was, and he said that he wanted to get some new Ringtones on his phone, but he didn’t really know how to do it.  He asked me if I could help him out.  I told him that I would have to get on the computer and download some new ones for him, but it would take a little while, and I had some work to finish up.  He was okay with that.

January 31st, 2010 . by admin

You are in front of some telephone numbers on your bill that are a mystery. Maybe you think that your partner is having an extramarital relationship and you want to take immediate action calling someone specialized in searching for facts.

Rather than spending incredible amounts of money for detective services, you could easily do the same what a detective would do opening the Detective Phone Reverse webpage and inform them about the telephone numbers you need to know.

In matter of seconds, you will get all the data you demand and for a very low price.

This useful service is available in two ways of payment. The first is a payment that you make once and the other is a subscription that will be better if you use a lot this kind of services.

No matter which use you make of the system, this is a great service.

Phone Call Without Static

January 30th, 2010 . by admin

Sure, I finally pick a company to be the provider of my phone service after I do an extensive search on who has the best plan. I compared numerous things such as coverage, plans, contracts and customer service. I finally thought that I had narrowed it down and then I tried it. Sure, I had cell phone coverage but it was constantly static. Did I forget to ask an important question regarding the coverage in the first place. I do not think it should be counted as adequate reception if I can barely hear the call that I am trying to place.

We Could Charge Admission

January 25th, 2010 . by admin

When my family first started looking at homes to buy, we hadn’t put a media room on the list of requirements.  However, we walked into one home that had an amazing home theatre set up with special seating and all.  Although it probably shouldn’t have been the decision making factor, it made the other homes seem less inviting.  The real estate agent had a movie set up so we could test out the home theatre sound and that did it.  The home did have everything else we wanted as well, so I could say it wasn’t solely the home theatre, but honestly, we might have chosen another home if not for that.

Windows Vista HL2.exe Error

January 23rd, 2010 . by admin

If your Half Life 2 keeps on crashing at the middle of your play and gives you the message hl2.exe has stopped working, you can try disabling User Account Control or UAC in your Windows Vista.

As advised by Steam™, disabling UAC is a recommended troubleshooting step. If you need UAC enabled, you can do so if the Steam problem has been corrected.

To do disable UAC in Windows Vista, you need to go to Windows Control Panel. From there, select User accounts and choose the option that says “Turn User Account Control on or off’. You need to uncheck the box beside “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer”. Click on OK and restart your computer.

The future of the Google Nexus One

January 20th, 2010 . by admin

The all new Google Nexus One smart phone has done very well so far, it looks like it will be the best of all Droid OS smart phones out there so far. Smartphone maker HTC has stopped all work on a planned tablet PC, said the corporation’s sales and marketing director, with new bluetooth headsets, on Monday. Instead, the company will focus on developing a new generation of smartphones, including ones using Google’s Android operating system. Will it be able to beat out the Apple iPhone? Only time will tell for the new Google Nexus One smart phones out now.

Reboot with Live CD’s Instead of Hard Drive

January 19th, 2010 . by admin

I am a small business owner and I must keep my business going twenty four hours a day.  Even with the new employees I have hired I can not allocate time away from the task that must be completed to stay on track.  Not too long ago we were affected by a virus and it destroyed on of the computers.  It was offline for a while until it could be recovered.  This cost me so much time and valuable resources.  In order to not have this happen again I am looking into live cds.  It is a system where I can reboot the computer from a cd instead of a traditional hard drive.
