My sister lost her job last week and is now in a panic. She has student loans along with credit card debt and the payments are due next week. She can live for a month or two on her savings, but not much longer. I suggested she look into Federal Loan Consolidation as well as various deferment plans, but she hasn’t done so yet. Right now she is in such bad shape that she is barely functioning. I stopped by to see her yesterday and she hadn’t showered in two days. I managed to get her to do that while I cooked her something to eat. After showering and eating, she seemed a little better but I’m going to stop by every day for the next week to make sure she is okay.
