I do not think that enough parents today teach their children about sending thank you cards and why they should. When I was a child my mother taught me that this was just part of proper etiquette and any time you received a gift or someone did something exceptionally kind for you, then this warranted a card being send immediately. This is not taught to this generation and I think it is sad. Even some of my own brothers and sisters have not taught their children what we all learned from our dear mother. I believe this should be taught to every child.
